Fachwerk calculates strut-and-tie models used by structural engineers
for analysing and designing reinforced concrete structures. The program
only uses equilibrium conditions, thus it does not assume elastic material
behaviour. If the system is statically indeterminate, the redundant
forces can be set.
The program aims to simplify the application of the theory of
plasticity's lower bound (static) theorem.
This program may contain ERRORS. All results must
be verified CAREFULLY in order to state that they are PLAUSIBLE!
Program documentation
Paying users will get the documentation (pdf) by email. It introduces the applications Fachwerk and Fachwerk3D and contains examples and useful background information. Last but not least it might help to use the programs more efficiently.

START
Linux
type «./fachwerk», or
«fachwerk» if you installed it using rpm.
Windows
type «fachwerk» or double click "fachwerk.bat"
Command line options
"fachwerk file.fwk" directly opens the file.
This allows you to link *.fwk - files to the program Fachwerk,
i.e. in Konqueror (Linux/KDE) or Explorer (Windows). Therefore the working
directory must be the directory where Fachwerk is installed.
"fachwerk --help" shows the available options.
"fachwerk -l fr" starts the program in French. Analogous "-l en", "-l de".
