Class MercatorSpherical

All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Formattable, MathTransformProvider, Deprecable, LenientComparable, org.opengis.referencing.IdentifiedObject, org.opengis.referencing.operation.OperationMethod

public final class MercatorSpherical extends MapProjection
The provider for "Mercator (Spherical)" projection (EPSG:1026, EPSG:9841). This provider reuses all parameters defined in Mercator2SP, except that the standard parallel is made optional since it is not formally a parameter of this projection.

    • createProjection

      protected NormalizedProjection createProjection(Parameters parameters)
      Creates a map projection on an ellipsoid having a semi-major axis length of 1.
      Specified by:
      createProjection in class MapProjection
      Parameters:
      parameters - the group of parameter values.
      Returns:
      the map projection created from the given parameter values.
