{#-
The name of the node, out of `net.hostname`.

This is not part of the core set and is not installed. `/etc/hostname` has
no drop-in directory, so the whole file is the template, and a rendering that
came out empty would be written as an empty file -- which on a node where
nobody set `net.hostname` means taking the name away from a machine that had
one. Every core template is a drop-in for that reason.

So a fleet that wants this copies it into its own `templates.d/etc/hostname`
and sets `net.hostname` on every node that gets it. If it is not set, this
fails loudly rather than emptying the file, which is the behaviour worth
  copying along with it.

The running name is not changed by writing this: the kernel is told at boot,
and `hostnamectl` is the thing that tells it now. Out of scope for detc, and
a fleet that needs it declares a resource for the provider that does it.
