Bases: IPython.core.application.BaseIPythonApplication, IPython.core.shellapp.InteractiveShellApp, IPython.kernel.connect.ConnectionFileMixin

init_blackhole()

redirects stdout/stderr to devnull if necessary

init_gui_pylab()

Enable GUI event loop integration, taking pylab into account.

init_heartbeat()

start the heart beating

init_io()

Redirect input streams and set a display hook.

init_kernel()

Create the Kernel object itself

log_connection_info()

display connection info, and store ports

write_connection_file()

write connection info to JSON file
