1. Installation

Alkhalil morpho sys is written in Java. So to use the program, you must install Java Virtual Machine version 1.4 or later. This means that the program can be used in several systems such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, MacOs. The virtual machine can be downloaded from the Sun Microsystems web site at the following address: http://java.sun.com

2. First use

After starting the program, you will see the following interface:

You can analyse a word or a sentence by typing it in the text area or by loading it from an external text file with extension .txt and with CP-1256encoding.

3. Analysing a word or a sentences typed in the text area

Type the text you want to analyse and then in the “أدوات ” menu, click on تحليل” ”. After that, you will get the analysis of the text.


After analysing the text, you get the following results:

4. Analysing a text stored in a file

To do this, click on “ملف ” then on “فتح ” and select the file you want to analyse. You will have the content of your file in the text area. Then analyse your text by proceeding as in previously. Note that you can analyse only a given part of the text, by selecting it and following the same instructions to analyse the text.


After analysing the selected text, you get the following results:

5. Save results

You can save the results in a HTML file by using button "حفظ النتائج".

6. Settings

By clicking on "لوحة التحكم" You can configure some aspects of the system especially the database and the outputs of the analysis.


7. Selecting some results

You can also select some analysis results and them as a CSV file by clicking on "اختيار بعض المخرجات".


8. Indexing texts

The system allows indexing the text by specifying word positions, frequences and contexts as shown in the following figure.


9. Searching in results

You can also search in the analysis results by root or by word. This option requires the text to be indexed before.
